• Summer in Wanaka

Summer in Wanaka is hot and dry. The lake is a popular destination for families. Parents laze on the beach, children swim in the lake. Nearby Mt Aspiring National Parks day tracks are popular for walkers with spectacular views of mountains and glaciers. Jet-boating, fishing, mountain biking, rafting are all available locally. Relax by our pool at Fairway Motel, and enjoy a barbeque dinner.

• Autumn in Wanaka

Walk the Waterfall Creek track and enjoy the autumn colours around the lake, drink local Venus coffee fireside at Relishes cafe. Hire a mountain bike and bike the Fisherman's track. Visit the quirky Cinema Paradiso just down the road from Fairway Motels for dinner and a movie.

• Winter in Wanaka

Wanaka is close to 4 ski areas. Treble Cone and Cardrona accommodate skiers and snowboarders and are 45 min's drive from Fairway Motel. The Snow Park is a specialty snow boarding park and the Snow Farm is a specialty cross-country ski area.

• Spring in Wanaka

Have a lazy cafe morning and then ski spring snow at Treble Cone in the afternoon. Stop on the way home at the View Mt Aspiring beach and enjoy the late afternoon light. Visit the local Rippon vineyard for some wine-tasting.
